Earlier, on the evening of 5/5, during the patrol to ensure security in the area, Truong Long Commune Police discovered Tr.M.Tr. (SN 2009) wearing a school uniform and riding a bicycle, looking tired and in need of help, the police force stopped the car.

Through contact, it is known that Tr. run away from his family and ride a bicycle from ward 15, Tan Binh district, Ho Chi Minh City to his girlfriend’s house named NHTV (SN 2010, living in Truong Long commune). Tr. and V. previously knew each other through the social network Zalo.

The patrol team graciously inquired and took the boy to the commune police headquarters to take care of him, feed him and rest.

Conducting verification, the task force identified the boy Tr. Running away from his family since May 3, cycling from Ho Chi Minh City down to Phong Dien district, Can Tho with a distance of about 200km.

It is known that while leaving, Tr. do not use mobile phones and only have 500,000 VND in person.

On the way from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho, Tr. visit Dien May Xanh stores and Mobile World stores, use your phone to log in to Zalo, then ask your girlfriend to send you the location and follow that to Truong Long commune, Phong Dien district.

At about 2pm on May 6, Truong Long Commune Police contacted Tr’s mother. and handed over the boy to his family.

Senior Colonel Tran Van Dung, head of Phong Dien District Police, said: “The child travels alone on a very long road by bicycle, so it is very dangerous.”

Colonel Dung recommended that parents should pay attention to their children’s education, especially when children use social networks.
