Arrange 5 working units at Ham Rong Convention Center
Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee has planned to arrange 5 provincial non-business units to Ham Rong Convention Center, Thanh Hoa city to avoid waste.

To avoid wasting land and property on land, on May 4, Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee concluded 799/KL-TU on a plan to arrange 5 units to work at Ham Rong Convention Center first. quarter 3/2022 to avoid wasting land and assets on land.
Five units include: Center for quality inspection of construction works (Department of Construction); Thanh Hoa traffic works investment project management board; Management Board of investment projects for construction of agricultural and rural development projects in Thanh Hoa; Construction investment project management board of Nghi Son economic zone and industrial zones; Management Board for maintenance of traffic works and operation of public passenger transport (Department of Transport).
Ham Rong Convention Center was started construction in December 2012 in Ham Rong ward, Thanh Hoa city. The project was built to serve the important cultural events of the city and Thanh Hoa province.
The project has a total investment of over 110 billion VND from a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and 10% of the state’s reciprocal capital. The project has been put into use since November 2014.
In 2015, the administrative center of Thanh Hoa City Party Committee and People’s Committee moved to build at a new location, so it used Ham Rong Convention Center as a temporary workplace.
By 2019, the new working office of the City Party Committee and People’s Committee of Thanh Hoa City, located in Dong Hai Ward, Thanh Hoa City, was completed and put into use, but the Ham Rong Convention Center was discontinued.
During this time of the Covid-19 pandemic, Thanh Hoa city requisitioned this place as a concentrated isolation place for Covid-19 patients in the city. Since then, this place has been abandoned, the works are degraded and seriously damaged.
It is known that since the construction of this Ham Rong Convention Center so far, it has never been used for the right function and purpose.
