Chelsea has announced that Todd Boehly will be the new owner of the club, officially saying goodbye to Roman Abramovich after nearly two decades.

To win the Chelsea bid, US and Swiss investors (led by Todd Hoehly) have shelled out £4.25 billion, expected to complete the paperwork needed for the takeover. at the end of this May.
According to the announcement, of the total amount, £2.5 billion will be used to buy Chelsea shares and all of this will be deposited in a bank account managed by the UK Government and 100% will be used for Charity activities as before Abramovich confirmed.
In addition, the remaining 1.75 billion, the new owners commit to invest for the benefit of Chelsea. This includes investments in upgrading Stamford Bridge, Club Academy, women’s team and Kingsmeadow as well as continued funding of the Chelsea Foundation.
Before that, billionaire Roman Abramovich, had to sell Chelsea in March after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Currently, he is still receiving sanctions from the British government, having all assets frozen and not receiving a dime from the sale of the Blues.
