Before that, at about 13:30 on May 6, during the patrol and control process, the police of Pho Vinh ward, (Duc Pho town, Quang Ngai province) discovered on the road a man was walking lazily, tattered clothes, shoulder backpack, weak health should come to inquire.

Through visiting, this person’s name is Chu Duc Thang (37 years old, from Ham Ninh commune, Quang Ninh district, Quang Binh province).

According to Mr. Thang, he previously worked as a worker for a packaging textile factory in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City. About half a month ago, he was robbed of all his possessions and identification papers. With no money, no relatives, he decided to walk home.

For the past half a month, rain or shine, he walks every day, stops, sleeps, and rests temporarily on the porches of people’s houses, roadside works and people along the way to help with food and water, Mr. Thang out to Quang Ngai.

Here, Mr. Thang was fortunate to be taken by the police of Pho Vinh ward and the force of the Duc Pho police station to the police headquarters of Pho Vinh ward to take care of food, wash and contribute money to support the car rental for him to return to his hometown in Quang Binh.

At about 4:00 on May 7, Mr. Thang had returned to his hometown safely. “If it weren’t for the policemen of Pho Vinh ward and Duc Pho traffic police station, I don’t know if I would be able to walk the rest of the way and I don’t know when I would be able to return to my hometown,” Thang said. .
