The truth about the discovery of “suspected infant’s body in a carton” in Ho Chi Minh City
On May 7, the police of District 7, Ho Chi Minh City said that in the area, no infant’s body was found in a carton in a building as public opinion and social networks speculated.
Before that, at about 8 o’clock on the same day, a security guard of this building on Huynh Tan Phat Street (Phu Thuan Ward, District 7) smelled a bad smell from the carton in the basement, so he and a few other people came to check. Inside the box was a decomposing corpse.
The security guard suspected that it was the body of an infant, so he informed the apartment representative and informed the local police agency.

The building found the carcasses of animals stinking
Phu Thuan ward police coordinated with professional units of District 7 Police to protect the scene and investigate.
By the afternoon of the same day, the authorities had the results of verification of the case. Accordingly, District 7 Police confirmed that the dead body in the carton was an animal carcass, not an infant’s body as rumored.
According to a source, this is the body of a dog.
It is known that this carton was sent to the building about 6 months ago and was carefully taped, but no one opened it to check. I smelled a bad smell today and opened it up.
