The unexpected real life of dancer Lam Ngoc Ha

“When I was 15 years old, I had to leave my parents and go to Hanoi alone to learn dance. I had to learn to get used to everything, even though I was just a little girl at that time,” Lam Ngoc Ha shared.

Nguyen Ha Trung (stage name Trung Ruoi) and dancer Lam Ngoc Ha got married in 2019, after three years of dating. Actor Tao Quan once publicly affectionately loved his life partner with the name “new actor in the movie of life”. The couple welcomed their first daughter – Baby Pineapple in 2020.

Born and raised in Yen Bai, Lam Ngoc Ha soon fell in love with the dance profession by accident: “No one in my family follows the arts, only my aunt studied the Cai Luong department of the School of Theater and Cinema. When my aunt returned to work at the District House of Culture, I was also exposed to more public art activities. When I was in middle school, I often accompanied my aunt to the training sessions of the District House of Culture and I especially enjoyed watching my friends learn to dance. Seeing that I liked dancing, my aunt also let me practice and realized that I had a talent for this field. So she oriented me to follow my passion“.

But to become a professional dancer, Lam Ngoc Ha had to go through many difficulties:After graduating from high school, I started to study dance professionally. It was 2011, when I was 15 years old, I had to leave my parents and go to Hanoi alone to learn dance. I had to get used to everything, even though I was just a little girl then. The sudden change of environment along with having to get used to all the troubles of independent life has made me cry many times because of self-pity and homesickness. But then the passion for dance is still greater than all. Like everyone else, I gradually overcame my initial difficulties and became a dancer“.

Young and capable, Lam Ngoc Ha easily gets a foothold in the profession. She has participated in many large and small shows in the country. In 2017, Lam Ngoc Ha also participated in the team of Vietnamese artists who came to Japan to perform at the Vietnam – Japan cultural exchange ceremony. Up to now, Lam Ngoc Ha has been a dancer of the Contemporary Art Theater for more than 10 years.
