According to Mr. Tam, ACV has directed airports to strengthen deterrence, prevent birds from staying in the flight area and warn the flight crew through the aviation news notification system, minimizing the impact.
In addition, ACV will coordinate with experts to study the biological characteristics and habits of species that often appear at the airport, thereby offering solutions to limit bird attraction; collect data on species that are living, migrating to the airport area, assessing risk and safety for each species.
“ACV will work with local authorities to propagate to households in the vicinity of the airport not to raise birds or cultivate plants capable of attracting birds,” said Mr. Tam.
