How is the health of the three unconscious victims after a loud explosion in the motel room?

Regarding the explosion at a motel room in Phu Long town, Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province, on the morning of May 8, the leader of Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital said that the victim was awake and able to talk.

The leader of Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital added that after the victim in the explosion was taken to the emergency room, the hospital consulted and established an emergency surgery team to save the victim’s life. On admission, the victim suffered multiple injuries from head to toe. The wound in the chest was 14 cm long, deep into the chest, causing the victim to tear his lungs, in the lungs there were many small metal pieces. The victim’s right hand was completely cut off by one third, the left hand was cut off half of the table, lost the first and second fingers, and the eye was bruised on the cornea.

Binh Thuan Provincial General Hospital has established 3 groups of doctors and assistant nurses with a total of 11 people. One group had thoracic and pulmonary surgery, the second group had orthopedic surgery, and the third group had facial surgery. All three groups of doctors worked together continuously for 3 hours, until 19:45 last night.

Furniture in the motel room was thrown away when the explosion occurred.

Before that, at about 2pm on May 7, people heard a loud explosion at room number 9 of an inn in Phu An neighborhood, Phu Long town. After the explosion, smoke drifted away, accompanied by a burning smell of smoke suspected to be chemicals.

People around ran to the motel room and discovered Mr. Nguyen Kim Kh. lying unconscious in a pool of blood in front of the room. Checking inside, people discovered that there were two small grandchildren who were the biological children of Mr. was also unconscious upstairs.

Everyone quickly brought the father and son of Mr. Kh. went to the emergency room at Binh Thuan General Hospital. Fortunately, the two children were not injured, just because of a sudden loud bang in the motel room, they panicked and lost consciousness. Mr. Kh. seriously injured, lost a lot of blood.

According to Ham Thuan Bac district police, when people heard the explosion, people thought the gas cylinder exploded, but when they went deep inside, the gas tank was still intact. The explosion also toppled furniture in the motel room. Those present at the scene also smelled a chemical smell like an explosive.

The Ham Thuan Bac District Police blocked off, examined the scene and coordinated with the professional departments of the Binh Thuan Provincial Police to investigate the cause of the explosion.
