Stop the attack on Russian journalists in Germany
The Russian journalist and his family live in a residential area in Berlin. The window of one of the apartments was smashed by glass bottles thrown from the street. During the inspection of the scene, a suspicious object containing explosives was discovered in a niche near the house.
Having received information about the incident, the area police were on the scene to evacuate residents in the building and contact demining experts.
“They confirmed the object was a fruit homemade bomb and disable it in place. There were no casualties,” the Russian Embassy said.
The building was quickly cordoned off, and the fire brigade and engineer destroyed the improvised explosive device.
The Russian Embassy in Berlin did not rule out the possibility that the attack was related to the tense atmosphere in Germany following Western sanctions on Russian state media.

Currently, the Russian Embassy in Berlin has sent a note to the German Foreign Ministry, asking the German authorities to conduct a comprehensive investigation to clarify the responsibility of the attackers, and calling on Germany and other countries. European countries take measures to ensure the safety of Russian journalists residing in the host country.
“We ask the authorities of Germany and the countries of the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to immediately take protective measures to ensure the safety of Russian and Russian journalists. members of their families in the territory in which they are working. The German government is obliged to conduct a detailed investigation into this crime,” the Russian embassy said in a statement.
In early March, the EU and a number of countries and social networks “banned” or restricted many Russian media outlets such as RT and Sputnik. This is a move to continue tightening the sanctions mechanism against Moscow by Brussels in response to Russia’s military actions in Ukraine.
