Textbook Experiments: Authentic Feedback

At one hour experimental teaching textbook In grade 8 Technology, the book series Connecting knowledge to life at Thai Thinh Secondary School, Hanoi, the selected lesson is: Light. This is one of the most important contents of the 8th grade technology curriculum.

Before the experiment, Ms. Phan Thanh Huyen received the content of the lesson and instructions from the teacher’s book. In 2 periods, she teaches both theory and practice. The theory part takes about 2/3 of the time, the other 1/3 is practice.

Thai Thinh Secondary School has been participating in the experiment of new textbooks since 3 years. For schools, the experiment helps teachers early access to a capacity development-oriented teaching organization.

At the end of the experimental lesson, teachers will discuss, draw experiences and give suggestions to the textbook authors. The organization of lessons learned is in the mandatory requirements of the new Circular. Next, the authors will edit the experimental lesson and organize the second experimental teaching.

The representative of the Ministry of Education and Training said that it will closely direct the experimentation of textbooks, ensuring the most honest, accurate and objective reflection of the quality and suitability of the new textbooks. This year, the Ministry will also strengthen the internal appraisal stage of publishing houses.
