US agrees to allow China Eastern Airlines to reroute flights from New York to Shanghai

Accordingly, due to the influence of COVID-19 prevention and control measures in the city Shanghaiflights from New York (USA) to Shanghai (China) will be landing at another Chinese airport until the end of May 31.

China Eastern Airlines said in a petition to the US government that, “due to the restrictive measures aimed at controlling the COVID-19 pandemic raging in the Shanghai city area”, Chinese aviation regulators said: China has instructed to “redirect (reroute) passenger flights from the US to Shanghai to designated alternative airports in China”.
