Carlos Alcaraz wins Madrid Open 2022

Carlos Alcaraz, the brightest talent of the Spanish tennis village, defeated the world No 3 player Alexander Zverev to win the Mutua Madrid Open 2022.

In the second set, Alcaraz did not change tactics. He regularly used long balls to create difficulties for Zverev, making his opponents miserable with powerful return shots, thereby gaining 3 break points before closing the match with a 6 victory. 3 and 6-1.

The final victory over Zverev helped Alcaraz go down in history as the first player to beat three world leaders at an ATP Masters 1000 tournament since 2007. At the same time, he also rose to No. 6 world after the ATP rankings are updated next Monday.
