Changing job from a large company to a small company, is it worth it?

I am working for a Japanese company specializing in automobile processing, the company size is about 1,000 employees.

I am the head of the department, my monthly salary is 26 million VND. Her husband is the same age, works as an accountant, and has a monthly salary of 18 million VND. My wife and I have no income other than salary. We’ve known each other for nine years and have been married for four years. Because they’ve known each other since they were students, they both plan to save money since they graduated from college to take care of their future lives. Currently, my family has a three-story house in Binh Duong City, worth nearly five billion VND, and is borrowing one billion VND from a bank.

I am 32 years old, have a husband and two-year-old twins. It’s been nine years since I graduated from college, working in only one department and company, highly appreciated by my boss and constantly being considered for promotion. I started to get bored, wanted to change my job to have a new look and learn many things outside. I went for an interview and got into a small company in Vietnam, with about 200 employees, a monthly salary of 40 million dong, but working far away (nearly an hour by car). The company does not have a process at all, everything is still very messy, if I go to work, I will have to build the process from scratch. I’m not afraid of hard work, I’m just worried that I won’t have time for my family and children.

>> Should we change our living environment to escape poverty?

I want to change the environment to know what the outside world is like, but I am raising two two-year-old children, and have to pay a bank loan of nearly 15 million dong a month, while having no money in reserve. I’m confused, I don’t know if I should change jobs or not. If the new job is suitable, then it’s good, on the contrary, the burden of “rice and money”, children, bank debt and parenting make me so confused. Should I switch when my current job is very stable? I’m used to the job, the boss is good, the colleagues are friendly, but I don’t know what the outside environment is like, especially the older I get, the harder it is to change jobs. Please add, my English is not good, working in a Japanese company for many years, so my English ability is decreasing. I interviewed in other foreign companies but didn’t pass.

Please don’t think I’m greedy when I want everything. I have a family and small children, so I have to analyze the risks and opportunities so as not to affect my husband and children. Looking forward to receiving your advice and sharing. Sincere thanks.
