This is a single-storey flat roof house in a newly developed area at the southern edge of Da Nang City.
The house is built on a plot of land with an area of 5m x 20m, of which the interior area is 70 m2 (753 SF), 53 m2 (570 SF) terrace and 18 m2 (195 SF) courtyard.
Structurally, the house consists of a living room, a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom.
The house was built in a simple box structure, designed with prefabricated in mind, using local standard construction – reinforced concrete frame with masonry – due to lack of prefabricated source locally, small size and efficient use of space, especially as cost-effective as possible.
To cope with the typical climate of Da Nang, which is hot and humid, the architect uses a separate method to shade the openings and contours of the house. At the same time, the architect designed many spaces between the spaces so that the cooling wind can blow horizontally around and through the central core of the house, as well as the wind can blow vertically from the stairs to the roof. home.
Because the owner does not want the house to be fussy and complicated, the architect uses concrete poured in place into plywood forms to cover the house.
Electrical and plumbing lines are hidden under or inside floor slabs and in recessed walls.
Insulated AAC baffles seal the concrete frame to minimize heat transfer.
Tropical hardwoods are used to make sliding and covered doors, furniture and adjustable wooden panels.
The living room space is simple but delicate, filled with light thanks to the use of clear glass doors.
Simple bedroom space, towards relaxation.
