Import and export activities in Lang Son flourished

As noted by a VTV reporter at Tan Thanh border gateIn the current period, import and export activities take place quite bustling. There are currently hundreds of vehicles waiting to be exported to China. To respond to epidemic prevention, the People’s Committee of Lang Son province has allocated more than 100 full-time drivers and more than 100 tractors to carry out the loading and increase customs clearance.

Every day, about 150 vehicles are cleared at Tan Thanh border gate, an increase of about 40% over the same period last month, mainly items such as bananas, watermelons, mangoes…

Similarly at Huu Nghi International Border Gate, after more than 1 month of maintaining drip clearance, it also started to prosper. Every day, there are about 150 containers of goods exported, only one third compared to the same period last year, but these are positive signs.

The force at the border gate has also prepared many scenarios to increase the productivity of import and export activities in May – a month with many agricultural products in the crop season.

In order to ensure safety against epidemics as well as increase the efficiency of customs clearance, Lang Son province is promoting the implementation of the digital border gate model at all border gates. Increase human resources for loading and unloading, arranging wharfs, regulating traffic; at the same time mobilize people and vehicles to carry out leveling and upgrading of wharf infrastructure to expand the “safe green area” at the border gate, adapting to the epidemic prevention and control requirements of the two sides.
