The UPU International Letter Writing Contest has been organized by the Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 1971. In Vietnam, this is the 34th time the contest has been launched. This year, the Organizing Committee accepts entries from November 2021 to March 2022.
The organizing committee assessed that, because the topic required “writing a letter to an influential person”, the students shared the message with famous people who have voices in many fields such as singer Ha Anh Tuan, artist Dang Thai Son, Miss H’Hen Niê, footballer Ronaldo, billionaires Elon Musk, Pham Nhat Vuong, owner of Highland coffee brand… Even many children choose mythical characters like Son Tinh , Poseidon or Doraemon the robot cat to talk about close stories in the family and village.
After five rounds of judging, 100 letters entered the final round to choose one first prize, three second prizes, five third prizes, 30 consolation prizes and 61 promising writers prizes and two prizes for candidates who are disabled. The children who won the first and second prizes were awarded the Creative Youth Badge by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
