EQS in his home country of Germany.
Mercedes EQS is the first pure electric car model of the German company to be distributed genuine in Vietnam. Similar to Porsche’s approach with Taycan in the high-end car segment, the EQS electric car is sold commercially with a charging station that the company supports customers to install at home. In parallel is a system of charging stations built at genuine showrooms.
Selling EQS from October is the first phase of Mercedes’ electric vehicle distribution plan in Vietnam and only has AC charging with residential electricity. Considering the efficiency in sales and good growth potential, the company has invested in a new system of charging stations at public points as well as a DC fast charging configuration.

The interior is filled with technology on an EQS model.
EQS is considered an electric version of the S-class model using an internal combustion engine. In the US, Mercedes is sold with two versions and the same 108.7 kWh battery pack. The standard EQS 450+ version is fitted with an electric motor on the rear axle, producing 329 hp and 550 Nm of torque. The maximum range is about 770 km after each charge.
The higher version EQS 580 4Matic, using two electric motors on each axle, 4-wheel drive, capacity of 516 horsepower, torque of 828 Nm. In terms of battery charging time, the Mercedes EQS charges 10-80% in 35 minutes when using a 110 kW fast charger, while using a regular home charger takes 11 hours to full.
Mercedes is the second luxury car company, after Porsche, selling electric cars in Vietnam. Similar to the popular car segment, the luxury car group has very few pure electric car sellers and only stops in mild hybrid or hybrid configuration with external charging, such as Volvo.
