Russia celebrates the 77th anniversary of Victory over fascism in the Great Patriotic War

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, this year, at the parade in Moscow, 11,000 servicemen and 131 combat vehicles will be attended.

The parade was divided into 33 formations, including representatives of all armed forces, all types of troops, students of the Suvorov and Nakhimov schools, cadet corps, members of the movement “Army troops” youth squad”, representatives of law enforcement agencies and the All-Russian Cossack corps.

Next will be a parade of motorized vehicles, demonstrating many modern weapons of the Russian army.

Rehearsal to celebrate 77 years of Victory

The aerial parade will feature 77 aircraft, symbolizing 77 years of Victory. The highlight in the winged formation is the appearance of the IL-80 strategic airborne command aircraft – with the nickname “Doomsday”. This is an aircraft designed to fly in the event of a nuclear war.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, along with Moscow, the parades will be held in 27 other Russian cities.

After the parade, in the afternoon there will be a parade of the immortals in all regions of Russia in memory of the fallen for Victory Day. This year, participating in the memorial will be relatives of those who died in the special operation in Ukraine, as well as in other military conflicts in which the Russians participated, such as in Afghanistan, Chechnya and other places. other.

Festival concerts, themed entertainment events for children and adults will be held in parks and on the streets of Russian cities. And at 10 pm, there will be fireworks in many cities.

According to the Kremlin, on the 77th anniversary of Victory, President V.Putin sent congratulations to the people and leaders of countries in the post-Soviet space. The Russian leader noted that, on this day, honor and respect are paid to the soldiers and those in the rear who crushed Nazism “at the cost of losses and the loss is immeasurable”.
