SEA Games 31 | Tung Duong and The Anh won silver medals in men’s softball doubles 3m

On the afternoon of May 8, the 31st SEA Games diving sport kicked off at the Water Sports Palace (My Dinh, Hanoi). Before this content started, the Singapore team suddenly withdrew from the men’s 3m soft doubles event. Therefore, this content only has 2 participating teams, Vietnam and Malaysia.

This means that even though the diving team has not competed yet, the Vietnamese diving team will definitely win at least a silver medal in the men’s 3m soft doubles event.

Vietnamese couple Tung Duong and The Anh

With outstanding level, the Malaysian duo Chew Yi Wei / Ooi Tze Liang performed competitions with very high technical difficulty. Right in the first part, they won 60.45 points, in the pair of the host Vietnam, they only won 40.80 points.

The Malaysian couple is very strong in this content

In the remaining 4 jumps, there was not much change as the Malaysian team kept the score gap and won the gold medal in this content with a total score of 395.79.

Nguyen Tung Duong – Phuong The Anh of Vietnam won the Silver Medal with a total score of 305.64.

4 athletes on the podium receive medals

Previously, athlete Ngo Phuong Mai won a bronze medal in the women’s 1m softball event. At the end of the first day of diving at the 31st SEA Games, the Vietnam Diving team won 1 silver and 1 bronze.
