Sharp launches flagship with 1-inch sensor Leica camera, 240Hz OLED screen
Sharp recently introduced its first flagship in 2022 called Aquos R7, the successor to the R6 launched last year with a 1-inch sensor. This year’s Aquos R7 is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, improves the camera with more powerful performance, and continues to work with Leica.

Sharp Aquos R7 is equipped with a 6.6-inch Pro IGZO OLED screen with FHD + resolution but with a refresh rate of up to 240Hz, in addition, this screen also has a brightness of up to 2000 nits extremely high, supports 10-bit color and Dolby Vision technology. The screen of the R7 is a “mole” screen with a 12.6MP selfie camera, integrated fingerprint sensor.
The camera is a notable highlight of the Aquos R7 when using a new 1-inch sensor with 47MP resolution that Sharp claims can capture 1.8 times more light than the 1-inch sensor on the R6. Sharp also partnered with Leica to equip the Aquos R7 with Summicron lenses to improve optical quality. The aperture of this lens is f/1.9, the focal length is 19mm. The device has an additional 1.9MP depth camera on the side, without an ultra-wide or telephoto camera.

In terms of performance, Aquos R7 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 12GB RAM, 256GB storage memory, 5000mAh capacity battery. The device has IP68 waterproof and 2 options gray and black.

The price of Sharp Aquos R7 has not been announced yet. The device will go on sale in July in the Japanese market.
