The death of a Japanese child at the resort swimming pool: Police inspect the scene

On the morning of May 9, the Binh Thuan Provincial Police Investigation Agency coordinated with the Criminal Science Institute of the Ministry of Public Security to the Centara Mirage Resort swimming pool area in Mui Ne ward, Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province to conduct the assessment. Around 10 am on the same day, Hanawa Yukiji and 3 children bathed in the resort pool, the children’s area.

After bathing for about 35 minutes, the group of friends discovered that Hanawa Yukiji was drowning under the swimming pool area.

When people rescued him from the pool, Hanawa Yukiji was suffocated and his heart stopped beating. In addition, my back and arms have many bruises.

The family took him home to take care of the post-mortem and informed the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Tien Phong, on the death notice of the Forensic Center of Binh Thuan province, the cause of death was listed as “drowning”. However, Hanawa Yukiji’s family believes that the cause of his suffocation was because he was sucked into the lake wall where the metal plate was attached. The marks left on her back and arms show that the suction is very strong.

Those who came to help remove the baby from the metal plate said that with that force, an adult cannot even struggle to get out. Therefore, my family has requested to initiate a criminal case for this death.

Regarding the case, the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City sent a note to the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, the Police and the People’s Committee of Binh Thuan province, requesting appropriate measures to clarify according to the wishes of the family. family.
