Before that, around 10 pm on May 8, Cuong and a group of 3 other people went to eat and drink at a night restaurant in Ba Go village, Nghia Phuong commune, Luc Nam district. Here, Cuong had a conflict with Mr. Vu Van Hoan’s group (29 years old) who were eating and drinking at the next table, so a fight broke out between the two sides.

During the fight, Cuong used a knife to stab Mr. Hoan’s chest and abdomen twice, causing serious injuries to the victim. Although he was taken to the emergency room, Mr. Hoan died from his injuries at dawn on May 9. After committing the crime, Cuong fled the scene.
