Ford Ranger 2022 continues to reveal test photos in Vietnam, most likely the XLT version

After a series of photos on the test track with discreet camouflage and a rare moment of revealing the interior compartment, recently, the most popular pickup model in Vietnam – Ford Ranger continued to be seen appearing at a service station in Tan Viet commune, Yen My district, Hung Yen province.

Based on the captured image, it can be seen that the exterior of the new Ford Ranger is painted black and the front end only covers the company’s logo. The car uses LED headlights, large single 6-spoke wheels. It is not clear how the equipment in the interior compartment is.

Notably, the detail of the steering wheel with chrome bars makes many people think that this is the XLT version. Because, in the previous generation, the Ford Ranger XLT was different from the other 3 versions from this detail. Thus, the Ford Ranger 2022 has had at least 3 versions revealed in Vietnam: the most advanced XLS, XLT and Wildtrak.

The new generation Ford Ranger is equipped with 2 types of engines including: diesel, 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 2.0L capacity, producing a maximum capacity of 170 horsepower and maximum torque of 405 Nm. Gearbox is a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, comes with 1- or 2-wheel drive depending on the version.

The next engine is still a diesel, 4-cylinder, 2.0L capacity but with twin turbochargers. Maximum power of 210 horsepower and maximum torque of 500 Nm. Comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 1- or 2-wheel drive.

The specific selling price of the new generation Ford Ranger in Vietnam has not been disclosed. The Ford Ranger version is currently sold on the market with prices ranging from 628 to 937 million VND.
