If you think living in a smart home requires tech gadgets and multi-tools, I’m here to tell you otherwise. Even though I live in a basic apartment in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, I can still turn on the lights, start making a pot of coffee or even play music via the bluetooth system in my bedroom using my phone. smart or just say it out loud.

And those are the days when I turned on the television or the light myself. This apartment cannot be considered as the epitome of a modern smart home, but the reality is a good sign. Because with just one plug, being able to listen and perform a few voice commands has made my life much more convenient.
