The world’s most dangerous sniper revealed a shock about the situation in Ukraine

Wali, who has been dubbed the “world’s deadliest sniper”, has revealed shocking facts after more than 2 months of fighting in Ukraine.

Russia Today on May 8 reported that a sniper with the alias Wali had returned from the Ukrainian battlefield to his home country of Canada with a “terrible disappointment”.

This was revealed by Wali in an interview with La Presse newspaper on May 6. The gunman said he initially joined a foreign volunteer corps fighting with Ukrainian forces as early as March, in response to the call of the President Volodymyr Zelensky.

However, Wali later revealed the reality on the battlefield had left him “disillusioned”. The Canadian sniper said his Ukrainian commanders initially “didn’t know what to do” with foreign volunteer soldiers. Tired of waiting for a long time to fight, Wali later joined the “Norman Brigade”, a Ukrainian combat unit commanded by a former soldier from Quebec (Canada).

However, some members of this brigade told La Presse that they were never provided with the weapons and armor that their superiors promised. Many soldiers of the “Norman Brigade” had to fight at the front lines without any support equipment. As a result, about 60 members of this brigade organized defections, some soldiers even planned to steal $500,000 worth of weapons that the US gave Ukraine to.

Wali then left the “Norman Brigade” and joined another unit of the Ukrainian armed forces that was fighting near the capital Kiev. But just like the previous situation, the unit was so short on equipment that the Canadian gunman had to find his own weapons, food and fuel.

In the end, Wali decided to return home after witnessing two conscripts in the same unit as him while stationed in Donbass accidentally revealing their location and being “rained by bullets” from the army. Russia.

“I told them not to reveal their location, but they didn’t listen,” Wali said. “And then I saw shrapnel flying past like lasers. My body tensed. I couldn’t hear anything and immediately got a headache. The situation is really dire.”

A Canadian veteran, Wali volunteered to fight with Kurdish forces in Iraq to deal with terrorist groups. In 2017, Wali set a world record when he killed an Islamic State (IS) terrorist from a distance of up to 3.4km. This achievement helped him to be praised by the international press as “the most dangerous sniper in the world”.

Wali is not the only foreign volunteer soldier to leave Ukraine after a period of war in this country. He once revealed that initially there were about 20,000 foreign soldiers and militiamen in Ukraine, but most of them returned home when they saw the fierceness of the battlefield “beyond imagination”.

However, La Presse said that some foreign volunteers with combat experience are still staying in Ukraine and participating in “special” missions with the country’s armed forces.
