VietinBank appoints 3 Deputy General Directors at the same time
On May 9, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) announced the appointment of 3 Deputy General Directors.
Accordingly, 3 newly appointed people are Mr. Nguyen Tran Manh Trung, Mr. Le Duy Hai and Mr. Hoang Ngoc Phuong. The term of appointment is 5 years.
Mr. Nguyen Tran Manh Trung was previously the Director of VietinBank, Hanoi branch.
Mr. Le Duy Hai was previously the Director of Corporate Banking at VietinBank.
Mr. Hoang Ngoc Phuong was previously the Director of Operation Division of VietinBank.
Thus, VietinBank’s Board of Directors will have 10 people, including 1 Deputy General Director in charge of the Executive Board, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dung, 8 Deputy General Directors, and 1 Chief Accountant. VietinBank has not yet appointed a General Director, after Mr. Tran Binh Minh resigned from this position in September 2021.
According to the financial report for the first quarter of 2022, Vietinbank reported a pre-tax profit of VND5,822 billion, up from 3 previous quarters but down 28% over the same period.
As of March 31, 2022, VietinBank recorded total assets of VND 1,664 million, an increase of VND 132 trillion compared to the beginning of the year (+8.6%).
VietinBank’s capital mobilization reached VND 1,213 million, up 4.37% while customer loans reached VND 1,230 million, up 8.75%. Bad debt was VND 15,322 billion, an increase of more than VND 1,000 billion compared to the beginning of the year, but the ratio of bad debt to total customer loans decreased from 1.26% to 1.25%.
In 2022, VietinBank aims to grow its total assets by 5-10%. Credit balance will grow as approved by the State Bank. The bank also plans to increase its individual pre-tax profit by 15% and adjust it according to the approval of the State Bank. If increased by 15% as planned, VietinBank’s individual profit in 2022 will reach nearly VND 19,400 billion.
