Vietnam won another bronze medal in diving

Four teams, including Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, entered the final competition for the men’s 10m hard doubles medal at the My Dinh Aquatic Palace on the afternoon of May 10.

After six jumps, two Malaysian athletes Jellson Jabillin – Hanis Nazirul Jaya Surya showed their outstanding level, and were awarded 345.93 points to win the gold medal. This is the sixth content that the Malaysian team won the gold medal, approaching the goal of capturing all eight gold medals of diving at the 31st SEA Games.

Singapore doubles Jonathan Keng Chan – Shen Oon Max Lee performed excellently, but only reached 322.5 points to receive a silver medal.

Host Vietnam aims to compete for a bronze medal with Thailand in this content, and 15-year-old athletes Quang Dat – Hoang Tu completed the task with 251.46 points. Thai athletes Adithep Khopeuchkalgn – Trinapas Santibut finished last with 232.8 points.

In the previous women’s 3m softball final, Ng Yan Yee brought Malaysia a fifth gold medal, leading with 270.6. Another Malaysian player, Ong Ker Ying received a silver medal with 242.4 points. Bronze medal belongs to Kay Yian Fong – Singapore athlete with 230.5 points.

Vietnam has two athletes participating in this competition. Mai Hong Hanh ranked fifth with 212.6 points, and Nguyen Phuong Mai ranked sixth among eight competitors, with 199.6 points.

After three days of diving competition, Malaysia still holds the first place in the whole team with six gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal. Host Vietnam is second in the standings in this subject, with two silver and two bronze medals.

On the first day of competition on May 8, Phuong Mai won a bronze medal in the women’s singles softball 1m, Nguyen Tung Duong – Phuong The Anh received a silver medal in the men’s soft doubles 3m. On the second day of competition, 9/5, Phuong Mai – Hong Hanh won the silver medal in the women’s 3m softball doubles.

Tomorrow 11/5, diving will compete in the last two events, men’s 3m soft double and women’s 10m hard double.
