The tooth is about 10 cm in size, belongs to the largest shark ever to kill a giant whale in prehistoric times.

Young Sammy Shelton found a rare specimen on a trip with his father and is engrossed in finding seashells on the sand. The boy was extremely proud, excited to show it off to his friends, making everyone jealous. The boy also held a presentation, introduced to his friends about the specimen he found.

Sammy Shelton’s father, Peter Shelton, is a retired general practitioner in Bradwell, Norfolk. “People tell us this is a rare find, fortunately only once in a lifetime. When we were looking for seashells on the beach, we found this strange tooth.”.

Peter Shelton took the specimen to experts for examination to understand more about its importance.

With the discovery of the great shark tooth, young Sammy received an ‘explorer’ badge from the local research team. Now, the boy wants to go back to the beach to continue the search for other potential fossils.

Megalodon is one of the largest and most powerful vertebrates in natural history, and probably once had a major impact on the structure of ocean life. Scientists think that Megalodon has a large appearance like a giant version of a great white shark.

The megalodon shark is very large, its teeth are very large. They were predators that dominated the oceans about 2.3 to 2.6 million years ago. The adult body is more than 2 meters long. The wide mouth contains up to 250 thick, large teeth, able to grip prey, break the bones of large opponents, including whales.

They are known for their huge sharp teeth, which increase their efficiency when hunting. Megalodon sharks were the dominant predators in the oceans about 2.3 to 2.6 million years ago.

Notably, this great shark has many new teeth after 1-2 weeks. They have up to 40,000 teeth in their lifetime. The shark’s teeth were found on every continent except Antarctica, researchers say.
