Thus, this year, about 21.7% of candidates will not be eligible to enter the public sector. This number is lower than in previous years, ranging from 25-26%.
This year’s 10th grade enrollment is organized by the method of entrance exam, applied to students graduating from secondary schools in the city, within the specified age range. According to the Department’s plan, from now until May 16, students can adjust their wishes. Registration form for candidates will be distributed from 19/5.
In order to determine the appropriate aspirations to enter the 10th grade, an admissions expert advises students to use the results of the second semester test in Literature, Mathematics, and Foreign Languages to estimate their ability. Usually, the semester test follows the structure and content of the 10th grade entrance exam.
Accordingly, candidates calculate the total score according to the old admissions formula, including Literature and Math multiplied by a factor of 2, plus foreign language score of coefficient 1; Next, subtract 10-15% of this total score because the 10th grade exam questions are often more difficult. From these results, they compare with the benchmark scores of schools in recent years, balance with this year’s competitive rate to find a school that matches their abilities and interests.
