Nintendo sold nearly 35 million Pokémon games last year

Nintendo has just released impressive sales numbers for the Pokémon franchise.

According to VCG, Nintendo has revealed that the company sold nearly 35 million Pokémon games in the last financial year.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl, remakes of 2007 Nintendo DS titles, which have sold 14.65 million copies between their release in November 2021 and the end of March 2022.

Pokémon Legends: Arceusa new name in the Pokémon franchise with immersive and 3D-style content, has sold 12.64 million copies since its release in January through the end of March of this year.

Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shieldthe core Nintendo Switch games released in 2019, sold 3.18 million copies last fiscal year, pushing current sales to 24.27 million.

Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu 2018 and Pokémon Let’s Go Eeveethe remake of the Pokémon Yellow game for the Game Boy, sold 1.25 million copies, bringing its sales to 14.53 million.

Pokémon Snap new, released in April 2021, sold 2.40 million copies in its first year, bringing the total sales of the Pokémon franchise to 34.12 million copies sold last year.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl sold out more Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee, although released later. The next Pokémon adventure, titled Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be released later this year.
