According to the specific mechanism promulgated by Hanoi National University at the end of 2021, high school students for gifted students at this university and gifted high school students in the country from the second semester of grade 11 will be able to register for cumulative learning in advance for a number of courses. under the undergraduate training program of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).

Students enrolled must ensure the following conditions: have at least excellent academic results in the previous school year or semester and be approved by the principal of the high school where the student is studying and the principal of the University of Social Sciences. and humanities (Hanoi National University) agreed in writing.

In order to ensure the quality and fit of students when they have to complete the high school program while studying at the university, Vietnam National University, Hanoi stipulates that each specialized student can only register for a maximum of 3 courses in a semester. And the results of these courses will be preserved when students are admitted to university level of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh – Rector of the University of Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi – said that the first case of a gifted student who registered for university courses at the university was Ngo Quy Dang, studying at the university. 12th grader at High School for the Gifted in Natural Sciences.

Two years ago, Ngo Quy Dang was known as the first 10th grader in the country to win an international gold medal in math.

According to Mr. Vu Hoang Linh, besides Ngo Quy Dang, there are currently a number of other specialized students who are also enrolled in courses at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

According to the mechanism, gifted high school students across the country can apply for university programs of Vietnam National University, Hanoi if they meet the required conditions, but there will be many obstacles. Specifically, specialized students in the provinces will find it difficult to pursue university studies as above if the schools only offer face-to-face training, no online form.

Support but not encourage with the majority
