This house was originally an old wooden house built in the 1970s, in a residential area in the suburbs, surrounded by green trees, owned by a young couple.
After the acquisition, the owner wanted to renovate the house so that there was space for the animals they raised to run around.
According to the architect, the two-storey wooden house has the shape of a rectangle, built in a combination of concrete slabs, combined with plywood and wooden floorboards. Therefore, architects can create interventions to combine old and new architecture.
To expand the view from the inside to the outside, the front part of the house was extended with new steel sections, raw brick and glass.
One side of the house has a 6m high retaining wall that provides good privacy for occupants and can create a colorful garden that integrates into the living space inside the house.
The front yard is zoned for car parking and creates a lawn, the two areas are separated by a red brick wall.
The upper floor of the house has been redesigned to accommodate the new master bedroom, study and entertainment space and a room for the future owner’s children.
Every space in the house is arranged with trees to help regulate the air, bringing a sense of relaxation and peace to residents.
According to the architect, with houses built for a long time but still have solid architecture, it is advisable to choose a survey, analysis and research solution to find out invasive renovation methods, combining new and old architecture to create Green, clean and beautiful building. This not only helps homeowners save costs, but also shows respect for the old architecture and protects the environment.
