According to information provided by Deputy Foreign Ministry spokesman Doan Khac Viet at a regular press conference on the afternoon of May 12, Up to now, Vietnam has signed with 20 countries on mutual recognition of vaccines, including Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, Belarus, Cambodia, the Philippines, Palestine, the Maldives, and New Zealand. , Sri Lanka, Egypt, Turkey, Singapore, Saint Lucia, Korea, Iran, Malaysia and the Republic Dominica.
In addition, on May 11, the European Commission (EC) started implementing the decision to recognize Vietnam’s electronic vaccine passports. Accordingly, Vietnam’s vaccine passport will be recognized by 27 countries in the European Union. At the same time, the QR code of this passport can also be verified and checked in the territories of the 39 partners participating in the EU electronic vaccine passport system.
Thus, up to now, Vietnam’s vaccine passport can be used in 81 countries and territories around the world.
