Admire the stadium with the “unique” architecture, the most beautiful at the 31st SEA Games

Unique architecture with complex, winding 3D architectural lines, simulating the solid curves of rocky islands with modern equipment of international standards, Quang Ninh Provincial Multi-Purpose Gymnasium promises bringing the most ideal competition conditions for athletes attending the 31st SEA Games.

The 5,000-seat gymnasium (Dai Yen ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh) is the place to host Volleyball at the 31st SEA Games.

The gymnasium was built on an area of ​​nearly 150,000m2 in Dai Yen ward, the gateway to Ha Long city and adjacent to National Highway 18. The gymnasium was inaugurated in 2018. The special highlight of the main construction is a system of alloy roofs winding in three-dimensional space creating a unique architectural highlight, first appearing in Vietnam.

The gymnasium has winding 3D architectural lines, simulating the rocky islands on Ha Long Bay. This is one of the most beautiful and modern gymnasiums at the 31st SEA Games.

The building has 3 floors, the total floor area is nearly 34,000m2.

The main floor is 3,200m2 wide with synthetic materials, especially the volleyball court is covered with a specialized carpet of international standards, about 600m2 wide, located in the center of the main floor.

The centralized lighting system, specialized for volleyball and many other modern equipment is also equipped and best prepared for the 31st SEA Games.

The seating system is scientifically arranged, with a movable staircase to get up and down when needed. Currently, the multi-purpose stadium can welcome 5,000 spectators to watch and cheer.

The stadium can use more mobile stands around the main stand, allowing the expansion of 1,500 more seats.

The stand area was filled with banners and propaganda slogans for the 31st Southeast Asian Games to be held in Vietnam.
