America is in short supply of baby formula

During the last week of April, 40% of the best-selling baby formula products were out of stock in more than 11,000 stores across the country.

Large retail chains such as Walgreens or CVS Health have had to limit the amount of products that customers can buy to maintain supply.

Meanwhile, regulators with the US Food and Drug Administration are considering importing infant formula to boost supply to the country.

The shortage of formula milk in the US has been increasing since Abbott Nutrition decided to recall many products in February this year.
