Arresting the owner of the land “Phong Lai Pure Land”

Mrs. Cuc is the owner of the land to build “Bong Lai Tinh Vien” (also known as “Zen am on the banks of the universe”).

Previously, on January 4, 2022, receiving information from the people about the objects receiving charitable donations showing signs of fraud and appropriation of property, the Investigation Police Agency of Duc Hoa District Police came to catch her and organize a search at Mrs. Cuc’s household, working in a number of cases living here.

The implementation process has the participation and witness of functional agencies and local authorities in accordance with the provisions of law. At the end of the autopsy, the investigating agency invited 14 related subjects to the Duc Hoa district police headquarters to work.

On January 5, the Investigative Police Department of Duc Hoa District Public Security issued a decision to prosecute the accused against 4 subjects residing in “Bong Lai Tranquility”, including: Le Tung Van (SN 1932); Le Thanh Hoan Nguyen (SN 1990); Le Thanh Nhat Nguyen (SN 1991) and Le Thanh Trung Duong (SN 1995), living together at “Bong Lai Pure Land” in Hoa Khanh Tay commune, Duc Hoa district.

At the same time, ordered the arrest of the accused for temporary detention for Le Thanh Hoan Nguyen, Le Thanh Nhat Nguyen, and Le Thanh Trung Duong. Particularly, defendant Le Tung Van was banned from leaving the place of residence.

At the end of February 2022, the People’s Procuracy of Duc Hoa district made a decision to transfer the case related to “Bong Lai Pure Land” to the Investigation Security Agency of Long An Provincial Police for investigation according to its competence.

Regarding the process of solving the case, Long An Provincial Police has announced to extend the detention for the second time for the three suspects until June 3.
