North Korea confirms first case of Covid-19
According to state media, North Korea detected a variant infection Omicron “stealth” BA.2, case Covid-19 first in this country.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on May 12 North Korea detected a variant infection BA.2a subline of variation Omicron are highly infectious and are often referred to as “stealth” Omicrons.
This is a case of Covid-19 first confirmed in North Korea since the pandemic began. North Korean state media called it a “grave emergency of the country”.
