Russia sanctions 31 US, EU, Singapore energy companies

After Russia announced the sanctions, the German Economy and Environmental Protection Minister said on May 11 that the government was “making the necessary arrangements and preparing for different scenarios”.

According to TASSon March 31, Gazprom Group withdrew its capital from Gazprom Export Business Services LLC, thereby terminating its participation in Gazprom Germania GmbH and all its assets, including Gazprom Marketing & Trading Ltd.

On April 4, the German Economy Ministry announced the transfer of Gazprom Germania GmbH to the temporary trust management of the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) until September 30.

Gazprom Germania GmbH is a subsidiary of Gazprom Export (part of Gazprom). The company sells fuel and has a network of gas filling stations in Germany, with several projects in Serbia, Austria and the Czech Republic.
