Talking about the inspiration for writing Go in the Summer, Black said he wanted to portray a man who was afraid of his wife’s love for football, a man who used to come home late and was scolded by his wife. When he filled up with gas, he had to be given money by his wife, like 2 the first sentence of paragraph 2: “Hopefully this time I will win big, so I can go all night without hesitation / Although every time I go late at night, I get scolded, today my wife shoots me with full gas”. That is the opening idea for the third rap segment, when this guy’s mentality is “strong” to his wife to show his love for football.

“Black got the idea to write this paragraph from the family of a football-loving neighbor close to the house. After writing it, he also asked some viewers how they felt. The phrase “conservative” here means that no matter what anyone – including his wife – says, in his heart: “Vietnam is invincible, Vietnam is long”. Den Vau said this was just a witty way of talking about the couple in the story, not looking down on women.

“Black has thought and edited a lot of words so that listeners can feel, focusing on the love of football, sharing the joy of winning with each other, not for the purpose of promoting anything else. It’s a pity that the lyrics of the song, when separate each paragraph and each sentence, make people understand differently the meaning and message that they want to convey and spread is a pity. Go in the summer of Den Vau debut when SEA Games 31 is taking place in Vietnam. The song was completed by Black in 2 months, music produced by Michael Choi. The MV shows the love of sport of Vietnamese football fans and the emotional journey of the players.

In the rap, Den Vau uses many simple words, including poetry. He compared football players to “warriors without spears and arrows”, “in the audience’s heart is a place to be stationed”, “the journey to realize a dream must be very durable, must be believed and skillful”. The lyrics are metaphorical, evoking the imagination, quite flying. Many viewers believe that if the words are separated, listeners will misunderstand the meaning of each rap sentence.
