While, some developed countries with similar cultures to Vietnam (China, Japan, Korea) have brought back or still maintain the calendar subject in the general education curriculum.

Therefore, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front proposed the Ministry of Education and Training to carefully consider, objectively and comprehensively evaluate the inclusion of History as an elective subject at the high school level. The Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front proposed that History should be an official subject. The problem is how to teach and learn to improve quality, not let history be an elective subject.
