Vietnam believes that it is necessary to immediately stop the use of force, ensure the security and safety of civilians, protect essential infrastructure, respect and enforce international humanitarian law, and facilitate access to humanitarian aid and evacuation for expatriate communities in Ukraine, including the Vietnamese community.

Vietnam supports humanitarian activities of other countries, the United Nations and international partners to support people affected by the war in Ukraine.

In that spirit, responding to the call of the United Nations, Vietnam decided to contribute USD 500,000, of which USD 100,000 will go to the Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF), USD 100,000 to the World Health Organization (WHO), 100,000 USD to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and 200,000 USD through the Vietnam Red Cross to the Ukrainian Red Cross, contributing to the implementation of humanitarian relief activities, supporting people affected by the Ukraine conflict.
