At the police station, Dao Anh Tuan confessed that due to difficult family circumstances, he had an intention to rob a bank. Accordingly, Tuan prepared tools and means to commit the crime, including: 1 set of sun protection clothes, 1 pair of sports shoes, 1 gun put in a blue sports bag.
At around 2:45 p.m. on May 11, Tuan brought his bag and asked his neighbor to drive him to the Viet Tiep Cultural Palace. When the neighbor returned, Tuan found a hidden place to change the clothes he was wearing with the sun protection clothes prepared earlier, put on sunglasses, then walked to Vietinbank’s transaction office at 72 Lach Tray to commit criminal acts.
In the process of escaping, Tuan ran into Lane 72 Lach Tray, broke into a factory to threaten a security guard to get a motorbike but failed, he continued to run away and hitchhike an acquaintance’s car.
At Du Hang Kenh Street, when he felt it was safe, Tuan got off the car and walked into the alley and changed into his original clothes to avoid detection. Then Tuan called the neighbor who had previously taken him back to pick him up. At 19:45 on the same day, when Tuan was playing on the phone and waiting to eat with his wife and children, he was arrested by the police force…
Currently, the Investigation Police Agency, Ngo Quyen District Police, has determined that Dao Anh Tuan has signs of the offenses of “Robbery” and “Illegal possession of military weapons”, so a decision has been made to temporarily hold him. criminal subjects to continue investigating and clarifying the case.
