Specifically, according to reflection, after exchanging and contacting job seekers, scammers guide collaborators to place orders online to increase interaction for booths. In particular, the scammers ask collaborators to have a bank account to pay for the order first, with the promise of getting the principal back plus a commission discount afterwards.

Initially, the fraudster sent the victim a link to a product on the e-commerce platforms Lazada, Shopee, Tiki, Sendo, etc., with a value from a few hundred thousand, a few million dong to several tens of millions of dong and asked for it. collaborators perform the following steps: Order confirmation, money transfer to the company account. Just like that, the above process continues until the collaborator is on duty with high-value orders (several tens of millions of dong) and is no longer able to transfer money. At this time, the scammer uses the excuse that the company is maintaining the system or other reasons to refuse to send the money back and commission to the collaborator, and ask the collaborator to continue doing so. mission. Contributors continue to be promised principal and commission or have their contacts blocked, only then will the victim realize he has been scammed.

The representative of the NCSC said that the above scam mainly took advantage of the reputation of e-commerce platforms to gain the trust of those who are in need of part-time jobs and hit people’s greed to lead the way. lure victims to “fall into a trap”.

In order to avoid being scammed, leading to loss and appropriation of property, experts from the National Cybersecurity Monitoring Center recommend that people be wary of job offers to work as an online sales associate. .
