Ex-husband, ex-wife, ex-lover – Episode 5: Viet “troubled” when standing between stepchildren and new wife

Lam (La Thanh Huyen) laments his marriage to Minh (Quynh Nga). When Lam’s mother came to play, Lam – Viet’s (Viet Anh) married life was even more turned upside down. Minh advised Lam to wait a while, if Viet truly loved Lam, he would find a way to reconcile her with her stepdaughter.

After taking the position, Vu (Chi Nhan) had an urgent meeting to correct the working style of the employees in the company. Vu brought up the existing problems in the company, rearranged everything, and then offered a solution to change.

Both Lam and Minh feel uncomfortable with Vu’s direction even though he is now the Director. Minh huffed when Vu said that Lam also needed to rethink his way of working. Lam thinks that Vu is the boss anyway, no matter what he scolds, he must listen, Minh should normalize the relationship, but make a fuss, it will only be entangled in gossip.

But Lam’s mother also reminded him not to hold back too much, and then his stepchild jumped on top. Lam was out of sight, but Lam’s mother could not stand it. She was fed up with seeing Mai Anh spend lavishly, ordering things back all day.

Unknowingly Mai Anh overheard Lam and Lam’s mother talking to each other. She thinks that Viet only cares about Mai Anh, and where Lam likes what he wants, Viet does not care. Mai Anh overheard that his ex-wife Viet was planning to send her daughter here to reconnect with Viet. Then Lam’s mother said that Lam needed to have another son to win back her love from Viet to Mai Anh. Mai Anh panicked when she saw that her father discovered that she was eavesdropping.

Mai Anh said that both Lam and mother are staying at their house. Viet yelled at her daughter to be a mess, but Mai Anh said that even her parents were taking care of others, so no one would teach her. Lam’s mother and daughter cried together because of Lam’s troubled marriage. Viet in the middle is also extremely awkward because he doesn’t know who to lean on.

Before returning home, Lam’s mother also taught Viet everything. Viet also reassured his mother-in-law that he would arrange everything well.
