According to the sales report of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), in April 2022, Honda CR-V achieved impressive sales of 2,093 vehicles to customers. The above sales recorded a growth of more than 200% compared to the previous March.

Thanks to the above sales, Honda CR-V returned to the leading position in the C-segment Crossover segment in Vietnam after more than 1 year of working as the basis for Mazda CX-5.

In order to have such an impressive comeback, the Honda CR-V has been applied by dealers with cash promotions, accessories and even a 50% discount on registration fees for assembled cars. Accumulating the above incentives, users who bought Honda CR-V in the past month saved nearly 300 million VND.

Meanwhile, Mazda CX-5 also followed closely with 1,834 cars leaving the dealership. The above sales also recorded an increase of nearly 500 vehicles compared to the previous month. Although inferior to competitors in the past month, in total sales from the beginning of 2022, Mazda CX-5 still leads the segment with 5,478 units, while Honda CR-V stops at 4,638 units.

April 2022 also recorded stable sales of Mitsubishi Outlander when 592 cars left the dealer, higher than 580 units sold of Hyundai Tucson. The demand to buy Tucson is now great, but because the manufacturer can’t meet it in time, customers now have to buy a car with a high price difference.

It is known that May 2022 will be the last deadline for users to enjoy a 50% discount on registration fees from the Government. Therefore, this is the time when people’s demand is high and many car models are expected to be in short supply and increase in price.
