At the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh It is proposed that on the basis of the positive cooperation results achieved in the past time, DFC will continue to support Vietnam in such fields as green transition, circular economy, renewable energy, and climate change response. , digital transformation and overcoming the consequences of war (remediate the consequences of Agent Orange, search for remains of martyrs).

The Prime Minister also suggested promoting cooperation in sustainable development of the Mekong River in the context of sea level rise, improving the material and spiritual life of people in the region.

Along with promoting existing mechanisms, the Prime Minister proposed studying and implementing new cooperation mechanisms with countries in the region, including financial incentives in infrastructure development.

The Prime Minister proposed DFC to provide support with preferential interest rates, flexible procedures, including financial incentives for small and medium enterprises.

Appreciating the potential and prospect of economic cooperation with Vietnam, Mr. Scott A. Nathan said that many cooperation projects between the two sides have been implemented very effectively.

In the coming time, DFC looks forward to promoting cooperation in the fields of climate change response, renewable energy, development of the Mekong region…

On this occasion, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh witnessed the awarding of a certificate of the DFC’s USD 70 million grant to Fulbright University in Vietnam. The Prime Minister highly appreciated and suggested the two sides work together to promote the effective implementation of this support.
