The elderly couple sued their son for “huge” compensation because… he refused to give birth to a grandchild

The lawsuit filed by Mr. and Mrs. Sanjeev and Sadhana Prasad has just been sent to the Haridwar Town Court, Northern India – according to the sheet Times of India.

Notably, in the lawsuit, the plaintiff stated that if within a year the son and daughter-in-law do not give birth, they will have to compensate the grandparents an amount of 650,000 USD (more than 15 billion VND).

“We just need to have grandchildren, regardless of the gender of the child” – the plaintiff emphasized – “My children have been married for 6 years and still have no plans to have children. At least if they have a grandchild, they will. I’m also less sad.”

Explaining the claim for the above amount, the Sanjeevs said that during the past decades, they have spent all their savings for their son to learn pilot. After that, they also have to pay for a lavish wedding to bring back a precious bride.

“The compensation requested by the Prasads includes the cost of hosting a wedding in a five-star hotel, the cost of a luxury car worth $80,000, and the cost of the couple’s overseas honeymoon. young husband” – sheet Times of India let me know.

The elderly couple also spent 65,000 USD for their son to study pilot in the US but now he is unemployed in India.

“We have to borrow money to build a house and are facing a lot of financial difficulties. Mentally, we are also very sad because we have to live alone” – the elderly couple added.

Lawyers for Sanjeev and Sadhana Prasad confirmed that the court is currently handling the case and is expected to go to trial on May 17.
