Honda has just sent out an invitation to participate in the launch event of a new motorcycle model on May 20. More detailed information has not been announced, but many people think that the main character will be the Honda Air Blade 2023. This model has leaked parameters not long ago on the website of the Vietnam Register.

Honda Air Blade is about to have a new version in Vietnam market.
According to the data of the Registry, Honda publicly announced the fuel consumption of the new Honda Air Blade model from April 20. Specifically, the Japanese scooter model will have 2 engine options. The most notable is the 156.9cc engine (Air Blade 160), with a capacity of 11.2 kW at 8,000 rpm, combined with a stepless automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is 2.3 liters / 100km.
The other engine has a capacity of 124.8cc (Air Blade 125), for a capacity of 8.75 kW at 8,500 rpm, combined with a stepless automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is 2.26 liters / 100km.
Meanwhile, Honda Air Blade is being sold on the market with only 125cc and 150cc engine options. The 125cc engine has a capacity of 8.4 kW and the 150cc engine has a capacity of 9.6 kW, significantly lower than the 125 and 160 engine pairs on the new version.
Some other notable information can be mentioned as the weight of 113 kg (Air Blade 125) and 114 kg (Air Blade 160), the highest maximum speed of 104 km/h. Tire size remains the same with parameters 80/90 front 90/90 rear. 14 inch copper rim. The 160 version has a larger set of tires, with 90/80 front and 100/80 rear, similar to the old 150. Honda Air Blade 2023 continues to be assembled and produced domestically.
Honda has always been tight-lipped about new products, so more specific information has to wait until the Air Blade 2023 is officially launched. Before Air Blade 2023, the Japanese automaker upgraded to a 160cc engine for the Vario and PCX models, but these two models are only sold at private import dealers. Most likely, the car will not have many changes in design and technology, when features such as LED headlights, Smart Key and anti-lock braking ABS have been available since the 2020 version.
Honda Air Blade currently has a suggested selling price of VND 41.3-57.2 million in Vietnam market. The new version using a 160cc engine may cause a slight increase in the price, but it will increase its competitiveness against the same class competitor Yamaha NVX, even the privately imported Honda Vario 160.
