Coach Park Hang-seo affirmed that he was not satisfied with U23 Vietnam after the victory against U23 Myanmar

Coach Park Hang-seo: “Vietnam U23 made many mistakes”

Tonight (May 13), U23 Vietnam won U23 Myanmar 1-0 thanks to the only goal of captain Do Hung Dung in the 76th minute.

The victory helped Vietnam U23 (7 points / 3 matches) rise to the top of the table and put one foot in the semi-finals. In the last match of Group A, U23 Vietnam only had to meet U23 East Timor, which was soon eliminated, no longer a goal to strive for.

Entering the press conference room after the match, Coach Park Hang-seo said: “In today’s match, Myanmar U23 did not play with a 4-1-4-1 formation, in favor of defense, but played with a 3-center formation. We also expected this, but the players had problems with coordination, many errors.

In the last match against East Timor U23, we don’t know if they played defensively or not. But U23 Vietnam will prepare all options to win the best results.”

When Dan Viet questioned the fact that U23 Vietnam played quite badly in the first half, which can be considered the worst match at the 31st SEA Games so far, Coach Park Hang-seo expressed his opinion:

“Actually, in terms of results, we won 1-0. But I think not only the first half but also the second half of U23 Vietnam also made many mistakes.

The reason is that the players did not pass the ball well, moving the position was not good. In situations that need to be handled calmly, it is rushed. I’m not happy with that.”

After the victory against U23 Myanmar, U23 Vietnam has a day off before playing the final match of the group stage against U23 East Timor at 19:00 pm on May 15. According to coach Park Hang-seo, on May 14, the team of doctors of U23 Vietnam will check the player’s health status to best prepare for the match: “We respect all opponents, U23 East Timor also.

At this point, I don’t want to talk about semi-finals or finals soon, but just try to focus best for the immediate goal. Maybe U23 Indonesia lost 0-3 to U23 Vietnam in the opening match, so their coach was a bit angry and wanted to meet U23 Vietnam again. My view is that if I meet U23 Indonesia again, U23 Vietnam is always ready,” coach Park Hang-seo concluded.
