Saving a pet dog that fell into the river, the man died

Ryan Wells, 21, and friends are walking their three pet dogs along the banks of the River Weaver in Northwich, England in the early morning. The Northwich area is at the confluence of the Weaver and Dane rivers, which meet in the center of town.

As the trio were walking, one of the dogs became agitated, jumped over the fence and fell into the water. It was around 4:40 a.m. local time.

Ryan Wells took out his phone to turn on the lights to search for his dog. They walked around looking for a while, but seeing nothing, Ryan Wells began to worry. He handed the phone to his friend and jumped into the river to find his pet dog. However, due to sudden immersion in cold water, Ryan Wells went into shock and went into cardiac arrest.

After the investigation, it was concluded that Ryan Wells did not drown but suffered a cardiac arrest after entering the cold water.

Georgia Garnett, girlfriend of Ryan Wells said: “He fell into the water for a few seconds, then he started to go into shock, he panicked. The autopsy concluded that he died from cardiac arrest, not from drowning. The surgeon explained that it was because of him. I was in shock so suddenly I was in cold water.”

Police searched the area throughout the morning and by early afternoon that same day, divers found Ryan Wells’ body. The police found the dog and rescued it ashore.

The coroner said: “Obviously when Ryan Wells got into the water to save the dog, he didn’t think about the potential danger to himself. He quickly dived and did not know that the water was very cold. Police. , paramedics arrived at the scene as soon as we received the news We used a helicopter and a police boat to search for Ryan We eventually found him but sadly he was he passed away”.
